A Guide to Cleaning Your Motorhome

Cleaning your motorhome can be a daunting and overwhelming task and getting it cleaned professionally can be an expensive cost, so this guide is here to help you get your motorhome spick and span, fit for a queen.

Equipment you will need to clean a motorhome

The following equipment is needed in order to get your motorhome in prime condition.

  • Bucket
  • Hose
  • Ladder
  • Microfiber Cloths
  • Sponge
  • Telescopic pressure washer brush OR noodle mitt

Products you will need to clean a motorhome

  • Fenwick’s Motorhome Cleaner
  • Mr. Muscle Window and Glass spray
  • Meguiars Quik Wax OR Triplewax Waterless Wash and Shine Spray

Cleaning a motorhome

Firstly, start by filling up a bucket of hot water, and pour TWO capfuls of Fenwicks Motorhome Cleaner into the bucket.

Now, time for the hose. Hose down the sides of your motorhome, front, rear end, wheels and finally the roof (climbing up on the ladder will help reach this area).

Once all hosed down, dip the telescopic pressure washer brush or noddle mitt into the bucket and proceed to scrub the sides, front, rear end and the roof of your motorhome, lathering the cleaner all over to get it nice and clean.

Once nice and clean, get the hose back out and rinse down all surface areas of your motorhome.

With all the exterior looking gleaming clean, gleaming windows will add to the sparkle. Spray the windows with Mr. Muscle’s Window and Glass spray, polishing with a microfiber cloth in order to get rid of any streak marks.

Then, do the same for the headlights to make them nice and shiny.

Time to get the wheels looking in show condition. Take your sponge and dip it into the bucket, then lather and polish each tyre, getting any mud off. Once cleaned, rinse down each wheel to reveal the shiny result.

Waxing & Polishing

Now that your motorhome is clean, the final step is to get it shining like a diamond.

Once the exterior is relatively dry, take the Meguiars Quik wax or Triplewax Waterless Wash & Shine spray and apply it onto the sides, front, rear end, and the roof, then polish the areas with a microfiber cloth.

Finally, make yourself a cup of tea, sit back, relax and enjoy the view of your gleaming motorhome sitting pretty on your driveway until your next road trip!
